The love of comfort is the ultimate enemy of success

I recently attended an entrepreneurial conference in Cincinnati called Unpolished. It was a great event. One of the takeaways was succinctly describing your brand, community, product in 60 seconds.

For my fellow entrepreneurs out there  this may sound like a walk in the park. This was not my experience. How do I convey the passion, purpose and mission of this brand in 60 short seconds? How do I vividly describe the body and life transformations that are already taking place because of the culture the Iron Tribe has created?

The clock was ticking. I had one hour to make a video that would do our brand justice. A video that would give a glimpse into the power of the tribe. Yes, our workouts are top notch. But this brand isn't about just workouts. It's about people. Loving them. Encouraging them. Motivating them to achieve goals they never thought possible.

Here is what I came up with:

This exercise was exceedingly meaningful to me because it was a stark reminder that this brand isn't about me or Brian or our resumes. This is about the individual who feels like they will never achieve their goals. They will never get control of their eating disorder. They will always be lonely. For those individuals change is needed. Change brings discomfort. The love of comfort is the ultimate enemy of success.

When change is needed, so is a community of support. Iron Will is an inclusive community - not because it sounds trendy; rather because we are forged through diversity.

The Iron Tribe and specifically our brand ambassadors have brought such a unique voice to the fabric of our tribe. Their struggles, transparency and willingness to share their journey to inspire others is truly special. If you haven't checked them out, you are missing out.

In thinking of our 6 week challenge we are starting on October 12th as a tribe. It's not that the world needs another fitness challenge. Every other Facebook post is someone dropping a cleanse, detox or jump-start.

What the world does need, is an environment that fosters body positive messages and encouragement towards living authentically. Strip away the social media 'best foot forward' and you will find people uncomfortable in their own skin who are drowning in information and starving for knowledge. Where are friends are endless, but our deep relationships are few.

The #ChasingIronWill 6 week challenge is geared to make you uncomfortable but equip you to find joy in that process. This process will bring a unique group together striving to achieve more. You say you're not cut out for this - but you're being cut out for this.
