Patriot Alliance: For The Everyday Patriot
One of the passion projects from the IWL Team is to spotlight companies that inspire us. We do our best to surround ourselves with innovators and motivators are changing the world through their respective missions.
We first stumbled across Patriot Alliance through their social media accounts. What we thought was simply a pro-American brand that made cool shirts, quickly moved to a company that was rallying patriotism within our team in ways we couldn’t imagine.
With a simple but powerful message, we bring you, Patriot Alliance.
Founder, Jake Greenberg, spoke with us about the inception of Patriot Alliance and their philosophy on doing business.
Jake’s background is in finance and business development. He recalls after a conversation about America, freedom, and politics with an older gentleman, the man commented “It’s neat to see a young person inspiring patriotism in other people.”
That sparked passion for the larger question, “Am I actually inspiring patriotism in my day to day life, or just in this conversation? What can I do to actually inspire patriotism and make a difference?”
While the path was yet to be determined, Jake knew he wanted to create a way to encourage people with a mindset of remembering what made this country great. A return to the founding principles that this country was built on. The mission was clear: Inspire Patriotism.
One year later, with the help of his friends Jared Leblanc and Valor Kopeny, the three partners launched the apparel brand, Patriot Alliance.
“We use deep rooted patriotic symbolism in all of our shirts. There is so much more to our apparel than the designs themselves. Would the founding fathers wear our shirts? Ultimately, our goal is to be a brand for the American family to wear.”
Every piece of apparel relays a specific principal and highlights pieces of history that are often overlooked. The designs are simple with a clear message geared for the everyday patriot.
So, how does a group of 3 friends take their company from a startup printing shirts in their garage to a thriving machine with a full warehouse, all in under a year?
When Jake speaks about his company, his passion is abundantly clear. Even the way he is supportive of other companies and competitors shows his commitment to furthering the common goal of inspiring patriotism.
“Many of the people who follow us are high school students or younger. Being role models for younger kids is important. You will never see anything that is questionable on our platforms. We keep it as clean as possible.”
Jake and his team are a clear example of what happens when the focus is on the people not the profits. P.A. is committed to supporting the veteran community with a portion of all sales donated to Wishes For Warriors.
“Being consistent with your message, being consistent with delivering, pulling through with what you say you’re going to do, we value those three things in how we operate. Designs need to be simple but meaningful with the quality of merchandise remaining high.
If I was a customer what would I want? We put a huge focus on the quality of the shirts, going the extra step by how the fibers are dyed. We strive to always be consistent with our message, consistent with delivering and pulling through with what we say we are going to do. The biggest compliment we can receive from a customer is when they choose to reorder.”
Even within the IWL Team, as we have worn P.A. gear while traveling, working out, or simply running errands – it draws other people into meaningful conversations that weren’t previously happening.
If you aren’t directly connected to the veteran community, it can be challenging to show your love for this country in everyday life, especially in a way that isn’t the in your face ‘Kill ISIS’ mantra. P.A. has found a way to bridge the gap.
